DBIA Upstate Chapter to host BIM Modeling seminar with Design Professional Kris Kimmel

DBIA Upstate Chapter will host a BIM Modeling seminar on Tuesday, April 24^th at 7:30 AM for businesses and individuals interested in learning how BIM Modeling, BIM Management and Laser Scanning can reduce project cost, timeline and provide more accuracy featuring Kris Kimmel.

BIM (Building Information Modeling) is an intelligent 3D model-based process that gives architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) professionals the insight and tools to more efficiently plan, design, construct, and manage buildings and infrastructure.

Kris is a mechanical drafting and coordination expert. As the third generation in the sheet metal industry, he began working in his fathers’ sheet metal shop when he was twelve years old. In July of 2004 he founded Kris B. Kimmel Construction Drafting, Inc. focusing his attention on drafting and coordination for all the MEP trades. He launched his business based on a thorough knowledge of the sheet metal and HVAC industry. His business has flourished because of his attention to detail, his commitment to learning and understanding the nuances of all building trades and embracing new technology to build with more accuracy and confidence. To date, Kris has managed the coordination for construction projects totaling on over $1.6 Billion dollars.
