Engineering Symposium in Rochester (ESR)

Monroe Professional Engineering Society & RES

On April 7, 1926, 14 licensed engineers and surveyors formed the New York State Society of Professional Engineers (NYSSPE). Three years later, the Monroe Professional Engineering Society (MPES) chapter was created. The organization strives to "promote social and economic welfare of the Engineering profession, develop continuing education opportunities, and raise awareness of the profession among [the] youth."

With support from RES and several other local engineering societies, MPES runs the Engineering Symposium in Rochester (ESR). This event has opportunities to attend formal sessions of various engineering topics. In addition to learning in depth concepts, attendance will count towards the needed 36 continued education hours as a Professional Engineer.
